New Car Seat Law Effective Tomorrow, 7/1/2011
Just a reminder that the new Georgia car seat law goes into effect tomorrow. All children under the age of 8 are required to be in a booster seat. Some children may be exempt if they are over 4'9 or have a written statement from a doctor based on a medical condition. If there are shoulder belts in the car, then weight does not matter, just the height and age requirement. If there are no shoulder available belts to secure a booster or child seat, then children must use a lap belt.
First convictions carry a $50 fine and 1 point. All subsequent convictions are $100 and 2 points.

Legitimation
When is a child born out of wedlock and when is a child legitimate?

3) have not married since the child was born.

The judge looks at the best interests of the child when determining custody and what will best promote the child's welfare and happiness. The judge considers many factors when deciding custody, including but not limited to:
- the love, affection, bonding and emotional ties existing between each parent and the child
